Currently there are fifty six hotels on the promenade alone. These hotels are mostly all four star and give an excellent view of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Room sizes all vary according to what you are looking for. Many of the rooms are luxury suites but there are some that are more economic and are considered more practical. These rooms are large enough to hold a bed and a dresser but do have a nice skylight to accent the room and take away from some of its small size. There are also hostels that are located right outside the town for those that need something more economical.
For anyone that doesn't have problems with sharing bedrooms, bathrooms and other accommodations with complete strangers than staying in a hostel may be what you are looking for. In general, hostels are about a third of the price of a cheap hotel. Be aware of the fact that when you are staying in a hotel, there is a higher possibility of getting your things stolen than you would be if you were staying in a hotel because you do not have the same kind of privacy as you do in a hotel. Often times you would be staying in a dorm with up to twelve people at a time, sometimes more than that. There are also several nice albeit plain bed and breakfasts throughout the town of ACoruna. Blue Moon in particular has been rated the number one place to stay for women traveling by themselves or with other female companions. Some of the bed and breakfasts are more expensive than staying in the hotels but they offer the same beach accommodations as the finer hotels but also give you the added luxury of meals if you choose them and often times will give you guided tours to many of the most popular locations. One other means of staying in the beautiful town of ACoruna is to camp on the beach. This is not yet a widely popular thing to do but it is the very cheapest way to visit the city while saving your money for other things that you would like to be doing such as shopping and sampling the local cuisine.
